Lisa was born in Moberly, Missouri on May 11, 1965 to Ella Mae and Lloyd Stuck. Following her father’s death and mother’s chronic illness, Lisa and her brothers and sister moved to the Fair Haven children’s home, Strafford, MO, in 1972.
Lisa was a beautiful, fun loving girl who liked to ride her bike, running, and sports. Lisa graduated from Strafford High school in 1983 and went on to graduate from Harding University with a degree in fashion. She later moved to Columbia and worked at Woodhaven. It was there that she met the love of her life, Steve Bryant. Steve and Lisa were married on May 22, 1990.
Lisa documented her life events through letters to loved ones and lots of pictures. Lisa was a fantastic cook and shared many of her recipes. Lisa loved her family more than anything and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to her daughters Ashley, Maggi (Josh) and grandchildren, Kylie, Wyatt & Kynzie.
Lisa was also very fond of her dogs, gardening, canning, sewing, and crafts. She shared her gift of a kind and gentle spirit to those she cared for at Woodhaven and for ailing family and friends. She had a way of making people feel special and at ease. Lisa and Steve were adventurous and raised their family in Arkansas, Illinois, Florida, and South Carolina. Lisa preferred warm weather climates and loved living near the beach.
Lisa passed away on September 19. Among those mourning her passing are her brothers, Stanley Stuck, Kenny Stuck, Dale Stuck, her sister Nancy Heggar along with Jerry Bryant, Rob & Melissa Bryant, Kari Reams, Chris & Nikki Reams, Garry & Mary Reams. Lisa will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorial to Make a Wish Foundation. A Celebration of Life will be at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia, MO, on Saturday, October 1st with visitation 9-11 and services at 11.
