Judy Ann Grundler of Columbia, Missouri, died at her home on September 28, 2024. She was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Patricia Harms Grundler and Lawrence Gray Grundler on May 30, 1957. Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by Life-partner Gary Kirfman of Ada, Michigan, sister Jane Danielsons (Peter) of Hannibal, Missouri, nieces Emily Danielsons and Elisabeth Danielsons of St. Louis, Missouri. Judy is also survived by long time business partner Armon Keaster and many, many friends.
Judy received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s Degree in Entomology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her career followed a path from working for the University to the Agriculture Department of Missouri, attaining the level of Division Director of Plant Industries. She retired from the state in 2016. Judy Grundler was inducted into the Cotton Growers Hall of Fame in 2008, recognizing her contributions and dedication to the Missouri cotton industry. Specifically: - Judy Grundler was honored for her tireless efforts as Executive Director of the Missouri Cotton Producers Association and the Missouri Cotton Merchandising Association.
Judy loved animals especially horses, dogs and cats. She was actively involved in the horse community of Columbia, Mo, competing in dressage. She loved all types of music, especially Classical. KBIA events were a favorite and she was a longtime supporter
