Joseph "Joe" P. Franke

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. Funeral service will be on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Joe was born on October 14, 1921 in Novelty, MO the son of Ernest and Vera (Patrick) Franke who preceded him in death. He was married on March 23, 1943 to Alberta “Bert” Vanskike in Macon, MO who survives of the home. Joe was a veteran of the US Air Force and was also the owner and operator of Franke’s Campus Jewelry, Campus Beauty Shop, & “The Shack”. He was a member of MO Jewelers & Watchmakers Association; Tiger Shrine, Moolah Temple & Jesters; Aleppo Grotto and Acacia Blue Lodge #602.

Other survivors include several nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Franke.
