Ileen Dometrorch

Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ileen was born February 25, 1925 in Rocheport, MO to Carl “Charlie” William and Ida Sieckmann Wehmeyer. She was married on June 19, 1944 in Columbia, MO to William Dometrorch who preceded her in death.

After graduating high school, Ileen went to work at Columbia Savings Bank where she retired at age 72. She cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved life and auctions. She was widely known as a wonderful cook with many friends, neighbors and relatives showing up for her Sunday lunches. She touched more lives than she knew, leaving everyone that met her feeling as though they had gained a second mom or grandma. She loved and cared about them (and worried about them) like one of her own. She truly made the world a better place and will be missed by everyone that met her.

Ileen is survived by two daughters, Brenda Talley (Ed Petersheim) of Columbia and Joyce Edwards of Rocheport; one son, Brent Dometrorch (Shelly) of Rocheport; one sister, Vernetta Wehmeyer; four grandchildren, Ethan Edwards, Dustin Dometrorch (Tara), Jenni Dometrorch and Brady Wirth; one great grandson, Connor Dometrorch; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
