Helen Hampton

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Arthur L. Hampton; parents John William and Sophronia Swearengen; three brothers DeWayne, Eddy, Kenneth Swearengen, and a son John A. Hampton in 1959. Survivors include three children Jeanene Stringham, of Columbia; Janet Mueller-Alsup and husband Bruce, of Aripeka, FL and Greg Hampton and wife Amy, of Jefferson City, MO, grandchildren Mellissa (Dianna) Stringham; Sarah Stringham; Jennifer Stringham; Keanna Mueller; Jacob Hampton, and great-grandson Donnie Dame.

Helen was …….a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grand Mother who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of traveling around the country camping and fishing with her loving husband and family. Everyone who entered her home was made to feel like family with a pleasant greeting followed by the instruction “make yourself at home, the refrigerator is around the corner and if you are waiting for someone to wait on you, you might go hungry”. She will be missed by many and forgotten by none.

Visitation will be from 1-2p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, with service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
