Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Grace was born on July 22, 1919 in Shamrock, OK, the daughter of Leroy and Dora (Gardner) Gay who preceded her in death. She was married on July 29, 1939 in Illinois to Earl Mills, who preceded her in death on November 8, 1982. Grace enjoyed gardening two large gardens then spent hours canning and freezing the produce. She also loved to sew; when she moved to the state of California in 2014 to live with her daughter, she sewed dresses for ‘Dress A Girl Around The World’ and made pillow cases for two volunteer groups, ‘Blue Star Moms’ and ‘Diablo Valley Quilters’.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carrol Mills of Martinz, CA and JoAnn Moser (Ron) of Columbia, MO; one sister, Beatrice Brandenburger of Marblehead, OH; one great granddaughter, Brandi Phillips (Thomas) of Centralia, MO; three great-great grandchildren, Lakota Phillips, Hunter Phillips and Tatum Phillips all of Centralia, MO. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Donna Mabrey; two brothers and two sisters.
