Celebration of life for Earl will be held at the First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 10 am to 11:30 am. Service will begin at 11:30 am with Pastor Chris Greenhagen officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Earl J. Williams was born April 11, 1931 at Excelsior (Morgan County) Missouri. He was the son of Leo Valoria Williams and Elva Bellamy Williams Burks. Earl attended Versailles High School before moving to Boonville, Missouri. Earl married the love of his life Audrey L. Wood Williams on November 18, 1952. They celebrated 69 years of marriage in 2022.
Earl was a member of First Baptist Church in Boonville, Missouri. He was a deacon of the church, he also served as a Sunday school teacher, and a RA leader. He also worked with Audrey, his wife, doing the Cradle Roll, they took bibles and a single rose to the newborns in the community, in hopes to get families started in the church. Earl also enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, painting, and going to the lake/cabin. Earl volunteered to deliver meals on wheels for years, before going into the United States Army, and was employed at Schell Floral Company. Earl served in the United States Army from 1952-1954, spending 18 months in Korea. After discharge Earl worked at McGraw Edison/Toastmaster as a Die and tool maker from 1954-1977.
In 1977 Earl went to work at Training School for Boys/Correction Center as a Plant Manager- he retired after 16 years of service.
He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents Leo Williams and Elva Bellamy Williams (Burks), sister Melva Lee McMilian, son-in-law Gary Moll, and wife Audrey Williams.
He is survived by his daughter Sharon Moll of Boonville, Missouri, son Dennis (Analin) Williams of Columbia, Missouri, granddaughter Mary (Shayne) Yenzer of North Carolina, and great grandson Zakary Earl Williams Hurt of North Carolina. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Boonville.
