Diann and her twin brother David were born January 20, 1956 in Columbia, Missouri to Loren David and Ada Margaret (Vanlandingham) Baurichter. They grew up south of Columbia on the family cattle farm and were graduates of Rock Bridge High School. Diann loved spending time on the farm to “get to God through nature,” but was absolutely not a fan of doing any of the farm chores. She was well known for her wit, her impeccable sense of humor and her stubborn streak. She could often be found in a thrift store searching for a bargain or shopping for new plants to add her to large collection. She was a cherished family member and friend who could always bring a smile to your face and add some sparkle in your life!
Diann is survived by her siblings Martha Baurichter, Mary Zipkin, Bob Zipkin and Michael Zipkin; sister-in-law Gayle Epple; nephews Forrest (Olivia) Baurichter and Kaleb (Erin) Baurichter; great nieces and nephews Harper, Logan, Everlee, Kolby, & Kaden Baurichter; along with beloved friends Dale Crane, Leigh Smith and Tammy Fisher. In addition to her parents, Diann was preceded in death by a stepfather, Michael Zipkin; a stepmother, Annie Douglass Baurichter; and her twin, Loren David Baurichter II.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Central Missouri Humane Society (http://www.cmhspets.org/), as she often stated she liked animals more than people.
