Darren Keith Vaughn

Darren was born November 15, 1967, in Moberly, MO, the third son of David Vaughn, Jr. and Doris Ragsdale Vaughn. He grew up in Monroe County, attended Paris schools and received a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg. He retired from Missouri Department of Corrections, having worked as a Parole Analyst. At the time of his death, he was working for Medical Solutions.

Darren always saw the good in people. He loved his family, especially his daughters and granddaughter. He enjoyed cooking, especially barbecue, and hosting family and friends, and no one left hungry. He had a quick wit, perhaps inherited from his mother. Through the years he enjoyed hunting and fishing along with camping. He was a reader as well. Family was important to him, and he was looking forward to taking his granddaughter fishing.

Darren is survived by his four daughters, Jessica Vaughn of Kansas City, KS, Megan Vaughn of Fulton, Bailey Vaughn of Kansas City, Kansas, and McKenzie Vaughn of Mokane; one granddaughter, Faith Clark; his mother Doris Vaughn of Columbia; and two brothers, David Clark Vaughn III of Springfield and James Drury Vaughn of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents.
