Casey Lynn (Baker) Howe

Casey Lynn Baker Howe, age 37, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Casey was born June 13, 1984 in Columbia to Tammy Skaggs and the late Kenneth McPhearson. She graduated from Hickman High School in 2002 and went on to work in management in the restaurant and hospitality industries. Her favorite activities included doing arts and crafts with her children, who lovingly called her their "mama llama," coloring, and playing cards with her husband and grandparents. She also enjoyed listening to music and shared many of the same musical tastes as her daughters, particularly Metallica, Nirvana, ACDC, Joe Cocker and Pink Floyd.

Casey was preceded in death by her father, niece Leaha Skaggs, uncle Gary Skaggs and her best friend Andy Kim. She is survived by her husband, Jesse Howe; children Savannah Thames, Sierra Thames, Sterling Evers-Blagg; stepson Cameron Sauerbeck; mother Tammy Skaggs; stepfather Delbert Acton; grandparents Jimmy and Linda Skaggs; siblings Jessica (Travis) Peterson, Jeffrey (Kerry) Skaggs, Kelsey (Chavas) Warren; stepsiblings Weldon (Amber) Acton, Harriet Acton, Valerie (Kenny) Nauerth; as well as many nieces and nephews who were very dear to her. Casey was a bright light to those who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, Missouri, with the Rev. Russell Robinson officiating.
