Brenda Gayle (Curry) Zimmer

Brenda graduated from Hickman High School. She worked for the University of Missouri for 30 years starting in the dining halls before moving to the landscape services. She enjoyed working outside with plants and trees. Brenda was also a member of the Boone County Fire Protection District stationed at Station 3 in Hallsville. She loved the fire service and won several awards during her time with the district.

Brenda was also very family oriented. She loved her family and was always happiest when around them, especially her grandkids. She would love to play bingo with her mom, sisters, and daughters. She had a zest for life and could always be seen smiling.

She is survived by her children, Amanda (Jesse) Sessler of Cape Coral, FL, Cynthia Zimmer of Sturgeon, MO, and Jeffery Zimmer of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Jesse Michael, Savannah Elizabeth of Cape Coral, FL, Robert Lee of Sturgeon, MO, Luca James of Columbia, MO, and 3 step-grandchildren; siblings, Debbie (Larry) Woods of Hallsville, MO, Larry (Jan) Curry, Jackie Curry, Michael (Katherine) Curry, and James Curry all of Columbia, MO as well as several nieces and nephews. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
