Bessie Gilmore, 93, of Columbia, Missouri passed away the morning of July 4th, 2024 at The Bluffs Skilled Nursing Home. She was born on December 17th, 1930 in Gretna, Nebraska, the daughter of Adolph and Anna Olsan.
A visitation will be held at 12:00pm to 1:00pm on July 12th, 2024 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, Missouri. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00pm.
Bessie married Jack Gilmore on March 16th, 1955 in Columbia, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with family and working on her puzzle books.
She is survived by her sons Mark (Emily) Gilmore and Kevin Gilmore; grandchildren Justin (Pam) Gilmore, Courtney Gilmore, Collin Gilmore, and Joshua Gilmore; great-grandchildren Margo and Arlo; siblings Viola Bailey, Lloyd Olsan, and Harold Olsan. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Basket, and brother James Olsan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s and Dementia research or St. Jude’s Hospital.
