Barbara Sue Moore

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Grove Cemetery.

She was born on March 14, 1941, in Moberly, the daughter of Alfred and Laura Belle (Calvert) Whitmarsh, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on July 20, 1970, to Franklin Moore, who preceded her in death on August 15, 2006.

She worked for Crown Drug and Fountain for over 10 years and later worked for 30 years in food services for the University of Missouri. She enjoyed reading Harlequin novels, playing cards, and watching tv. She most of all loved time spent with her family and friends, and her Jack Russell Terrier named Jack.

She is survived by: one daughter, Laura Gilmore (Aarron) of Clark, MO; two grandchildren, Aarron and Chelise; three sisters, Laura Lack of Moberly; Beverly Bennett (Donnie) of Columbia; Norma Morris of Sturgeon; one brother, Larry Whitmarsh (Rosemary) of Columbia; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
