Anthony Charles Spangler

Anthony Charles Spangler 6/20/03-5/26/14 Anthony (Tony) Charles Spangler, 10, of Columbia, Mo. was granted his angel wings on Monday May 26th, 2014 following a life of many physical challenges. Although his time here was short, Tony touched many people with his beautiful smile, his infectious giggle and his unwavering strength. Daily life was always a struggle for him but he never gave up and he never gave in. He taught us that the little things in life truly are what mean the most. He loved to listen to Lady Gaga and watching cartoons was a favorite pastime. He also enjoyed car rides, listening to other children play and silly noises. Tony was blessed to have the best care possible from his nurses Barb and Terese, and he loved them dearly. He also had wonderful therapists and an incredible medical team who helped him be the healthiest, happiest and best he could be. Tony is survived by his loving parents, Pam Windsor of Columbia, Mo; John Spangler Jr. of Columbia, Mo; sister Heather Spangler of Columbia, Mo; maternal grandparents Claudia Hiley of Columbia, Mo; Gerold Windsor of Hallsville, Mo; aunts Debbie and Vecie Windsor; paternal grandparents Josephine Spangler of Columbia, Mo; John Spangler Sr. of Olney, Mo; uncle Dan Spangler Visitation will be held Friday May 30th, 2014 from 2-4 pm at Memorial Funeral Home Columbia, Mo. The service will immediately follow in the chapel.
