Anna Marie Howard, 63, of Columbia passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Boone Hospital with her husband and daughter at her side. A Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Anna was born June 22, 1957 in Columbia, the daughter of Mathew Sims and Helen (Bennett) Sims. On May 14, 1988, she was united in marriage to William Howard, who survives. Anna spent her life serving and caring for others and looked after her mother, Helen, in her later years. She cared for her brother, Mike through his illness. She cared for and deeply loved Bill, her children, and grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for her four legged kids.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Lynn (Nick) O’Neal of Rocheport; one son, William (Sherri) Howard, III of Columbia; five siblings, Eddie Sims, Sheryl Sims, Mathew Sims, Mark Sims, and Kelly Hinton; and three grandchildren, Tre’, Lexi, and Kayla.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Mike Sims.
