Robin was born September 28, 1970 in Eatontown, New Jersey to Robert “Bob” and Frances “Jean” Hatfield. She married the love of her life, Art, in April 1988 and spent the next 18 years as a devoted Army wife. Robin and Art, along with their two daughters and fur babies, moved to Maryland in 2005. In Maryland, Robin worked predominantly as an Executive Assistant for “C suite” executives of multiple companies. She was a very active member of Hope Assembly of God. Robin joined Jesus in Heaven on March 31, 2024 after a long battle with cancer that originally began in 2012.
Surviving to cherish her memories are her husband of 36 years: Arthur Saxton Jr.; 2 daughters: Stephanie (Sascha) Saxton and Meghan (Nasheam) Rogers; a fur baby: Benjamin Otis Saxton (Bernedoodle); 3 Grandchildren: Ayden, Sammy, and Khari (due in October 2024); her mother: Frances Jean Hatfield; 4 sisters: Wendy, Patty, Betty Ann, and Becky; a brother: Bob; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hatfield, fur babies Roxie and Snickers, and fur grandson Joey.
Robin, known as Honeybun, Gigi, mom, momma, nana, wife, aunt, cousin, daughter, sister, and friend is known for her love of strawberries, turtles, all things beach, the color green, the Green Bay Packers, and her Jeep (Madame Blueberry). She will forever be remembered for her humor, kindness, compassion, work ethic, loving heart, dedication to her family, and steadfast faith in God. Having touched so many hearts and lives, she is gone but certainly not forgotten, as a piece of her remains in her husband, children, and grandchildren. She fought hard, is now walking with Jesus, and enjoying a beachfront mansion in Heaven, which of course is decorated with strawberries! Well done, good and faithful servant.
