Linda Arnold Lange

Linda was born in Beloit Wisconsin May 9, 1953 and moved to Maryland with her family in 1962. Linda graduated from the University of Maryland in 1975, where she played volleyball and basketball, including the first nationally televised women’s basketball game. Linda continued playing in volleyball tournaments, until a few months before her passing.

She married Allan Lange on October 22, 1983.

Linda was an active member of Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church, as a young girl and returning as an adult. Always ready to lend a hand, she participated in numerous activities including the youth fellowship program, LOGOS, Vacation Bible School and volunteered for a Mission trip to Mississippi in 2006 to help rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. She also served on several committees offering her expertise and experience.

She is survived by her husband, Allan Lange; sons Zachary Lange and Nicholas Lange; her beloved granddaughter, Samantha Lange; and her brothers Alan Arnold, David Arnold, Paul Arnold and Carl Arnold.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Virginia (Dillenbeck) Arnold.

Memorial service will be held at Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church, 10600 Shaker Drive, Columbia at 11AM on Saturday November 12th. There will be a visitation at the church at 10AM and a reception in celebration of her life following the service in the church fellowship hall. Private interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Memorial Presbyterian Church or to Cancer Research Institute (CRI).
