Last night I had a dream about Kevin, so I looked him up and found this memorial page. In my dream, he was playing trumpet with such freedom and virtuosity, it was truly mind boggling, and I didn’t understand what he’d done to achieve that level of skill. When I asked, he said, “Me neither.” I didn’t interact with too many kids in high school, never felt part of anything, but Kevin was one of the few who made eye contact every time we passed in the hallways. “We had the same first  name,” he said, “we have to nod.”  The dream was no different, one beautiful nod some seven years after his passing. I see and hear you, Kevin. 

To the family, may time assuage the grief, pain, and sorrow you may be experiencing. I extend my love, thoughts and prayers to you all.
