Dr. J. D. Mashburn of Columbia, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday, May 1, at the age of 86. Dr. Mashburn served as Chief of Pathology for Washington Adventist Hospital and Director of Laboratories for Washington Adventist Hospital, Hadley Memorial Hospital, Leland Memorial Hospital and Shady Grove Hospital for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Mashburn. He is survived by his sister, Christy A. Rolfe; sons Joe Mashburn, Mark Mashburn, Zack Mashburn; and daughter Molly Gamble, as well as 6 grandchildren.
