Dolores Seaman, 91, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, in Columbia, Maryland. Born on October 16, 1933, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, she was the eldest of five children to Julia and Walter Swaylik.
Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Joseph Seaman, who passed in October 1984. Together, they devoted themselves tirelessly to raising their four daughters, creating a home filled with love, support, and cherished memories. Dolores and Ronnie balanced the demands of work and family life, ensuring their children had every opportunity, from countless swim practices and meets to tennis camps and school activities. The family also shared their home with many adored cats over the years, enriching their lives with laughter and affection.
Affectionately known as Dee by her friends, Dolores found joy in playing tennis and cherished the camaraderie it brought. She also loved outings that included shopping, lunch, and a movie with a sister or close friends, and relished the adventures of traveling. One of her proudest achievements was managing her daughter Saundra’s dermatology practice in Bethesda, Maryland, for 16 years—a role she embraced wholeheartedly and through which she formed many meaningful friendships.
Dolores' greatest happiness came from her family. She adored her daughters and grandchildren and treasured every moment spent together. Her warmth, dedication, and steadfast love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dolores is survived by her daughters, Susan (Henri Boré), Saundra, Stephanie (Alfredo Quintero), and Shelly (Dave Woodbine), and her cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth, Eloise, Isabel, and Eilise. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Walter; sisters, Patricia and Barbara; and brother-in-law, Stephen Timinski.
In accordance with Dolores’s wishes, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolores’ memory may be made to any local SPCA
