Agnes Stack

Agnes Meikle Malone Stack, “Nessie”, 68, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away January 16, 2012, at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on November 10, 1943 in Lark Hall, Scotland, daughter of late John and Agnes Malone. She was the third-born of 4 children. She graduated from Leith General Hospital Nursing Program in Scotland in 1964 and completed a midwifery program at Glasgow Royal Maternity Hospital in 1965. She moved to Washington DC in 1967 to work at Washington Hospital Center. She married Melvin Stack in 1969 and lovingly raised 3 children. She was a dedicated Aid for the Visiting Nurses Association for 30 years. Nessie is survived by her 3 children and stepdaughter, Ian, Shona, Kendra, and Rebecca Stack; her daughter and sons-in-laws, Eleanor Stack, Christopher Novak and Mark Solomon; and grandchildren, Aiden, Evan, and Dillon Stack and Tobin and Shea Novak.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 20th from 11AM - 12 Noon at the Witzke Funeral Homes, Inc.; 5555 Twin Knolls Road; Columbia, MD 21045; where a funeral service will follow at 12 Noon. Interment to follow in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
