Oh god... one of the rare breeds gone. My heart hurts. He called life as it is. We got along great. So many stories. I just found out Today. I love how he stayed true to the person he was!!!  We spend a lot of years together while he built the big bear house and the Yucaipa house and projects at my holy jim cabin ect ect...I have been missing spending time with Wayne. We were supposed to go to my cabin with Wayne and his son he wanted me to meet. I would like to meet and talk to son. 
I am so sorry for the terrible loss!!!

OH,, Waynual,  I just talked to you not long ago,, God Bless You, my old Buddy,  You were my friend as kids, and i hold onto the memorys of our silly games we played,,, Love you Wayne ,  see you in Heaven !!

I'm so sorry to hear that Wayne passed away.  I met him through Steve McCarty when I was living in Redlands.  I call Wayne every year on his birthday and this year when I called his phone was disconnected.  I felt like something was not right.  I just looked his name up today and sadly I see he is gone.  Im so sorry for his family, he was a good man.

We shared many fun times together in the pits at "Jerl's Muffler" when we were just kids in the 60's may peace come from those memories. You will be missed.

I haven't seen you in decades. I remember you as a kid who was a pleasure to be around. From reading all the other memories here, it's clear you grew up to be a wonderful man. Rest in peace, dear Wayne.

The moment I treasure most about my late friend Wayne was on the afternoon of a race in Industry Hills. Mr. Leutz was kneeling at the feet of young Levi, helping him get ready to race. They'd done this many times before, and the father was ever the patient coach, while young Levi fell silent and listened to dirt-race logic.from a guy who knew it well. It was the expression on Wayne's face that framed the moment. In one glance, I saw more father-to-son love than I had ever seen as a son. Well done, Wayne. We'll remember you, and miss you like carzy!

Wayne, you were the greatest stepdad I could ever ask for! I'm so greatful for everything you have ever done for me if not for you I would not be living my dream! Thank you for always being there for me.

Lisa, our prayers are with you and your family.  Wayne was truly a great friend, and he will be truly missed.
