Violet May Geraldine Cox

Violet May Geraldine Cox at the age 90 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 30, 2021 residing in Calimesa, California. Born January 24, 1931 to Annie Imogene and Hellward Arthur Cox in Ocho Rios, Saint Ann Parish Jamaica. Family and friends knew her as “Mel” or “Geraldine.” Geraldine attended the Breadnut Hill public school where she acquired a Third Year examination certificate. She later migrated to the United Kingdom where she studied to become a registered nurse and traveling midwife practicing in hospitals and private homes in England, Germany, Canada and the United States until her retirement. Geraldine was actively involved at Oasis Christian Fellowship in Redlands, California serving in Women’s Bible studies, correspondence ministries and as a greeter. Geraldine had a love of cockatiel birds raising them from birth. She often could be found reading her Bible and listening to worship music. Geraldine is survived by her son Dwayne Findlay, sibling Phyllis Gouldbourne (Cox), George Brown, nieces and nephews - Ann Cox, Allan Cox, Deonne Clare, Jason Cox, as well as many great nieces and nephews in the United States, Canada, Jamaica, and the UK. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
