I would like to take this opportunity to share my thoughts and prayers for Sam and his family. I will always remember him as a loving and down to earth person. 

I will remember Sam as a quiet, intelligent, and passionate person with a wonderful sense of humor. It was my pleasure to have had an opportunity to work alongside with and know Sam as more than just a coworker. I had the good fortune to observe him grow from a hard working young man, juggling his life to develop both academically and professionally all while trying to create a life with his kids. I was so happy to be able to witness his eventual success in all those areas. I watched Sam struggle through some difficult moments in his life as well as be blessed to see how happy he was when he was with Michelle and his family. I loved hearing his stories and especially his laughter. His laugh is what I will remember the most, along with how much he loved his children. Sam had so much potential and I'm saddened that I will not be able to to see what he could have done with that. 

Even though you were taken too soon, I'm comforted knowing that you made a positive impact on many lives including my own. I continue to keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. May the Good Lord embrace you in his loving arms and may light perpetual shine upon you.

Ill never forget all the memories i have growing up with you, my aunt, and my cousins. You were like a second dad to me when i was little. Thank you for teaching me how to ride a bike, Showing me good music, allowing me to be at your house pretty much every day and being around my cousins who are the 3 best humans in the world, and always including me when i was little.

I was so sad to hear of Sam's passing. For 13 years he helped me in our Claims office in getting much needed aerials for lawsuits. He was so thorough, pleasant and efficient.  I appreciated his help. My condolences to all his family. You will always be in my prayers. 

Rest In Peace My Dear Brother Sam,

I consider myself blessed to have a wonderful brother like you. I will never forget the times you babysat Louis and I in our youth, the pranks we pulled on each other during the holiday seasons and birthdays, and the laughs we shared from hearing your adventurous yet intriguing stories. 

Even though Leukemia took you home, I am grateful that I was there to support you during your whole Leukemia journey from the beginning to the very end. I fulfilled my duty to watch over you not only because I’m your sister, but also because I’m a trained Pharmacist Provider and wanted the best care for you. I am glad that I myself, my mom Joan, my brother Louis, and Sam’s three children Vanesa, Nicolas, and Anthony were there when you were anointed with the Cross and went home to Jesus in your last moments. Heaven has earned another wonderful angel. Mom says she is blessed that she was there when you took your first breath, and she was there when you took your last breath. We all love you.

Sam was an awesome human being. We worked together in Surveys  when I first started with Caltrans.  I personally appreciate that he was one of the guys that helped me with my prep for taking the Land Surveyor-in-Training Exam. I had many questions and Sam was always glad to help and was very knowledgeable. He always seemed quiet and low key so I never figured him for knowing so much.  "Still waters..." I guess.  He was a super cool dude and didn't like to let on about how smart he was.  We were blessed to have Sam for the time we did.  I'm a lot older than he was so we will meet again soon and it will be great to see him. My heart goes out to his wonderful family. 

I count myself blessed to have served with Sam, Luis, & Michelle at Caltrans/Land Surveys in San Bernardino. I knew Sam 16 years which the last of my tenure we shared a cubicle on the 6th floor of the State Building. Moments I cherish was setting up a Christmas Tree every year. He stood up and spoke in my behalf at my retirement. His phone calls from his Mother as we both had the same number. Lunch and breaks with he and Michelle.
Aside from our vast age difference we had similar interests: Motorcycles, Firearms, & Music. He was one of the most intelligent persons I have ever met. Strong and silent, he never bragged. You had to find out how much he knew.
Our loss is Gods gain. You were needed in heaven Brother.

My condolences to his beautiful wife Michelle, Alexis and his children.  I am truly saddened of his passing. He will greatly be missed and especially seeing you two together at work. When I was a scrawny little 12 year old learning some Scouting ceremonies, Sam was the guy that got me started.  He was already very accomplished in the role he was passing on to me, and I appreciated his time and patience. 

For the entire A-tsa family, this is far too soon.  Prayers for the entire Garnsey family.

Sam was a great friend back when we were in Boy Scouts together. My brother Geoff and I still enjoy recounting stories of our many adventures with Sam and others in our BSA troop and Order of the Arrow chapter. Such good memories! I'm quite saddened by Sam's passing, and I pray for God to bless his entire family with peace and strength.

I spent several fun years with Sam, Earl, Chris and Charles camping around Southern California in scouts.  Sam was cheerful and friendly. I am saddened by his passing. 

Joan and Family:  I have such good memories of our favorite times fishing and acting up with Sammy.  Our sincere sympathy to you from my family for loosing a son so young.  We love you.
