Uncle Ruben, where were you all my life?  You’ve been a big part of my life for the last 4 years.  A never ending message of unconditional love and encouragement, every day, that ended too soon.  Your daily messages of love meant more to me than you’ll ever know. 
Every girl should have an uncle just like you.  
Kevin has wonderful memories of you, thank you for that.  
We will miss you every day, and try to learn from your example and pass it on.
Until we see you again, rest in love, and save us a seat.

Uncle Ruben, I remember you growing up. I was probably about 9 years old and I remember you always watching TV in the living room of grandmas, stretched out on your side with your hand propping up your head. Little did you know that after you left I would do the exact same thing you did, you were such a big influence in my life growing up. I remember you had a black 65 or 66 Pontiac GTO, and you and tia Lida took me on a ride to Lynnwood, I think we went to get Church's Chicken. Nice car... One of my best memories I have , remember you had started doing the Kempo Karate and Grandpa used to own the bar the Western Place. Somehow a black guy tried to Rob Grandpa and somehow you found out, went there and beat The Living Daylights out of that guy. Wow!!! Amazing !!! You are the reason I went into the army I wanted to be like you grown ing up. Thank you for giving me my first real job, putting recliner frames together at your plant in Compton during the summer. I was 15 years old. I saved enough money $578 to buy my foxy moped. I drove the heck out of that sucker.To my Tia Lida and cousins Ruben Ray, Tommy Jay, Stacey and Kacey and all my  family my heartfelt condolences and may the presence of friends and family help you through this difficult time. Just know that Uncle Ruben  is with Grandma and Grandpa now. Rest in peace Uncle Ruben. Love, Tony and family. 

To Tia Lida and our cousins... I'm so sorry for your loss...Tio was an amazing Dad to my cousins and Husband to my Tia. Ruben was one of the greatest men in my life. I don't have a lot of memories...I do remember how he treated me no different than any other niece or nephew when I was at his homep. I always felt so loved by my Tio. I wish I had taken the time to visit when I could. I know he's one of our guardian angels. A beautiful soul taken from our family to watch over all of us. 
I'll miss our good morning messages everyday without fail...he sent me "good morning baby...I love you...have a great day!" Or seeing him dance and dance, always smiling and laughing. 
No matter what that message always made me smile and made my day so much better! He will always be in my heart and when I remember him and the precious few memories I have of and with him with love and happy smiles and times. Tia Lida I love you...I cannot express how sorry I am for your loss...my heart goes out to you, you're in my prayers. I love you and our cousins

Ruben , On November 29th Raul & I went to visit you & Lida , we never thought that would be the last time we would see you😔.   We knew you for 36 years , my Carlos was 1 yr old you had nicknamed him  " Sweetpea"  Lol ! 
The 4 of us had great times dancing at Lechuga's Hawaiian Gardens.

Ruben , you were a great husband to my BFF Lida the two of you LOVED each other so so much and from that love you were blessed with a beautiful family .
When I became Stacey's Godmother, we had became compadres /family.

For as long as I can remember, my Tio has always been there for me.  He would always tell me I could call him if I ever needed anything. I remember him always being there when I was child. Spending time at my Tio and Tia's house, playing with my cousins. He would always pick me up at my Dad's house and take me to karate. His presence has always been part of my childhood memories, it seems like we spent every weekend when I was younger as a family. 
I will always remember how full of life he was and how much he loved to show off his skills and dance, tearing up the dance floor with my Tia. 
Although, time has gone on and I did not get to spend as much time with him as I would have liked as I grew older, he will forever be remembered as the great Tio he was. 
To my Tia, my cousins, and all of my family, you are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. God has taken another angel from our beloved family to watch over us. Go with God Tio.

My Tio was always There for me for as long as I can remember. As a kid I remember going to grandmas house, And when it was time to take a bath I always wanted to use tio Ruben‘s bathroom because he had a big marble tub. He was also our best man when I got married . He had a beautiful black Car and instead of renting a limo we use his car .I thought that was the coolest thing ever. He drove us from the church to our wedding reception .About four years ago I started making summer trips down to see him and family He’d pick me up and Our routine was to stop and get breakfast, he’d order his tequila sunrise and I’d have a margarita on the rocks that’s how we started our vacation together . I’m going to miss my morning text I’m still sending yours .For four years every morning without fail he would send me a text  (Good morning baby. Have a great day. Love you.😍😘😗😙💓💞💗💘 I knew I could always call and he would always answer,he always had a way of making me feel better .I’m going to miss his voice ,his smile the warm way that he always made my heart feel .I love you Tio this isn’t goodbye ,have our drinks ready I’ll see you again.🙏🏼❤️
