Robert Martinez, Jr., passed away in a tragic car accident at 12:16am on April 2nd, 2011. He was only 18 years old at the time and just six days away from his 19th birthday. He was full of life and took advantage of every opportunity and every possible moment he had with his loved ones. Although his life was cut short, he managed to make the most of it on a daily basis, living every day as though it was his last. He was full of so much joy and laughter and he had so much love to give. He loved his life and it showed in everything he did! He was thoroughly admired, respected and looked up to by his friends, peers, acquaintances and family members. He may be gone but he is truly impossible to forget, having left such a deep and profound impact on the lives of all those who had the good fortune and pleasure to meet him. He was an incredibly open-minded and wise young man, he had such a way with words and always knew just what to say in every situation. He was the kind of person who never let negativity get him down, he was positive to a fault. His life and legacy shall be passed down to generations and remembered by all those whose lives he touched; for he is a beautiful example to us all, of how one's life should be lived: to the fullest! We will celebrate his life each and every day of ours and honor him daily. He is survived by his parents, Roberto and Clara; his four sisters: Blanca Elizabeth, Lissette, Roxy and Genesis; his nephew: Jordan Isaiah; and the love of his life, his one and only: Nimrit.
Memorial Service was held on April 23rd, 2011, 10 a.m., at Montecito Valley View Chapel followed by burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace, in Colton, CA. Arrangements under the direction of Montecito Memorial Mortuary.
