Entered into eternal life on May 11, 2016 at his residence in Grand Terrace, surrounded by his children
and loved ones. Richard was born in Riverside, California. He lived in Riverside for 30 years and
in Grand Terrace for 36 years. He worked for John Manville, Valentine Inc/AT&T and State Compensation Insurance Fund.
He served his country in the United States Army from 1971-1977; Vietnam with
the 18th Military Police Battalion, stationed in Long Bihn, Fort Ord, Fort Gordon, Fort Polk and USAR,
414th MP Co Santa Ana. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Arlene Molina Luera, his sons Richard S. Luera (Denise) of Beaumont,
Randy J. Luera (Esther) of Fontana and daughter Monica M. Luera of Grand Terrace,
his 5 grand children Lauryn, Laurisa & Layla Luera and Anthony and Roman Corrella, brother Albert Luera (Lupe) of Riverside,
mother-in-law Emily F. Molina of Riverside, sister-in-law Rose Franco of Riverside and Diana Weber (Earl) of Fresno,
many nieces, nephews, cousins, god children, extended family and many dear friends. He is preceded in death
by his grand parents Pablo & Lupe Avila and Esteban & Sedonia Ramirez, his parents Santiago and Luz Luera of Riverside,
his brother Jimmy Luera, his beloved niece Terry Ann Luera, father-in-law Fortino B. Molina, brother-in-laws Albert J. Molina & Armando L. Molina.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday May 26, 2016 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church 12745 Oriole Street, Grand Terrace.
Rosary and Viewing will start at 9:00 A.M. with Mass at 11:00 A.M., burial to follow at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:15 P.M.
