Rachel Cardoza was born February 15, 1949 in La Puente, California. Where she spent most of her life. She attended La Puente High School, where she met her husband of 50 years. Cruz and Rachel were married on December 21, 1969. Together, they had four children: Cruz, Gina, Paul and Teri. Throughout the years, Rachel spent her time raising her family and working various jobs such as in a hospital, jewelers, cosmetology salon where she would cut all the kids hair that lived in their neighborhood. She also had two jobs working at Dillard's and Michael's where she did framing and retail. As much as she enjoyed working, she loved going on vacation. Her favorite get away places where Rocky Point, Mexico and Martha's Vineyard MV. She loved her seafood, Mexican food and especially her desserts. During her years of retirement, Rachel spent it doing what she enjoyed most; being with her family, attending all the grandkids graduation, always cooking and making sure everyone was never hungry or didn't need anything. That's what brought her the most joy. She was a caring, loving, selfless woman who always put her family before herself.
Rachel passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Rachel Cardoza is survived by her husband Cruz Cardoza, Cruz Jr., Regina Cardoza, Paul (Christine) Cardoza and Teri (Waldo Jr.) Torres, 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Bertha F., Trinidad G., Bobby G., Vincent G. and Patricia G.
We find comfort in knowing that Rachel is being welcomed in Heaven and being reunited with loved ones who passed before her. We love you Rachel. You will truly be missed.
