You are SO missed@!  I miss your laughter, I miss you on our group rides on our horses.  Life at the ranch is not the same without you.

The community lost a leader in healthcare system protecting all his patients as they were himself. I was not aware of his disease and, being at University of Maryland in Baltimore in the last 2 years, I wanted to surprise to see him on my return to California in August. I am shocked to see this news on the web.  I feel alone without him on my side. He was an inspiration for all of us working at Corona Regional and in the entire UHS system. Thank you for all your support in my careerin the last 13 years and thank you for all our personal conversations, including convincing me to follow the transplant surgical life while being a surgical oncologist in Riverside County. I miss you, my friend. Deep condolences to his family.

Mark was an amazing influence in my career and what a sense of humor.  I will always cherish his guidance, insights and of course all the laughs.  RIP Mark 🙏

So sorry - a huge loss to family and community.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family.  It is with great sadness to hear of his passing . I heard the news today . I worked with Mark at San Bernardino county hospital in the early 80's. Mark was very caring and compassionate towards his patients. I also remember Robin working in the blood gas lab. I pray that our Lord will comfort all the family.

There are too many fond memories that we all shared with Mark.  But for me was listening to him talk about his passion for music.  There would be days he come in the office and say ok ladies it's music day "What do you want to hear", that was classic.  

He was like no other he had a good sense of humor, but most of all he was a great prankster he always got everyone pretty good.  To the point  where he laughed so much he cried from laughter.

A truly Great Boss is hard to find
difficult to part with and impossible

We both enjoyed working with and for Mark at the county . He was an incredible leader and the best CEO you could have  ever wanted to lead the county. I was so saddened to hear of Mark’s illness and passing.  I loved working with him during his years at ARMC and the County of San Bernardino.  I thought of him often after my retirement.  
Mark was fearless.  He worked hard every day to try and make the County a better place to work.   He was kind & generous. I think the thing I liked most about him is the fact that he always interacted with all staff regardless of their position.   He treated all with dignity & respect.  Rest in peace, dear Mark.

My wife and I were saddened when we heard of Mark's diagnosis and devastated when he passed. I am glad that we were able to visit with him a week before his passing.
I met Mark when he was CEO at St. Luke's hospital in Pasadena. As an OB/Gyn Physician presiding over a number of managed care Physician groups, he was the first CEO who extended his expertise to the group. He had been a friend since. I followed his career through his journey as CEO with various Hospitals and as CEO of the County of San Bernardino. 
He was a very passionate leader and quite knowledgeable in the Healthcare field. A very kind & devoted man who was, willing to roll up his sleeves to help others. He had a good sense of humor and would call it as he saw it. 
Mark, you left a huge void in our hearts and those who knew you. To Carol, Amanda, Daniel, Sara and the entire Uffer family, please accept our hearth felt condolences.

Let me first offer my condolences to Marks family, he was a great leader and always had some interesting stories. I worked with Mark for many years at Corona Regional and I always enjoyed our conversations. Not a bad drummer either. R.I. P.

I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Mark.  I had the pleasure in working with him at Riverside Medical Clinic for  8  months.  Great story teller and how  he had a passion  and love for music.  My sincere condolences to the Uffer family.

I meant Mark at Arrowhead regional medical center I worked in food service at the time many years ago I was in charge of the Christmas party mark donated a few things for the employees I thought was very kind of him and was very appreciated for a few years he helped me out RIP Mark I have many more good things to say about him he was very respectful with me and a very nice person thank you Mark condolence to the family .

Sorry to hear this. Mark was a very special guy. Very down to earth and easy to talk to, unless you weren't doing your job properly haha. I always admired the way he handled issues at ARMC where I worked in the maintenance department. The only administrator who would visit our department and commend us when we deserved it. He had a good sense of humor and was one of a kind.

I first met Mark when I was charge RN and he a respiratory therapist in the burn unit atSBCMC in the 60s. I again met up with him at ARMC when he was CEO. I will always remember his smile and his kindness to my son. He was such a good leader. I have many memories with Mark at the hospital. RIP Mark

I had the pleasure of working closely with Mr. Mark Uffer while he was Board President at Palm Royale Country Club, his 2nd home. He sure loved to play golf and was very dedicated in his work. He will surely be missed here at Palm Royale!  My deepest condolences to  his friends and family.

May all your great memories fill you with joy

I’m very very saddened by this news.  I met Mark at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital back in 1986 when he took me under his wing and was like a big brother to me.  Many many times we would laugh so hard we’d have to seperate from one another.  He was highly respected at the hospital due to his willingness to take on and conquer the day to day troubles that presented themselves-no matter what department /he was a hands on God send.  I met Carol through Mark and I remember so clearly her cute laugh and smile when Mark was silly.  I will miss my friend but will really cherish the fond, fun memories. I'm truly devastated at this news. I met Mark during school at the University of Redlands. He took me under his wing and we worked together for many, many years through various organizations. He was an amazing man and I will always treasure the knowledge mentoring and friendship that we had.

A multi-talented man, husband, father, friend, mentor and many other roles who will be truly missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Carol and their two children. I am so sorry for your loss and we are here for you should you need anything at all.
