Born on May 2, 1953, in San Bernardino to the late Herbert and Rena Uffer, Mark dedicated his life to the healthcare industry. He started his career as a respiratory therapist, eventually becoming the CEO of an assortment of hospitals including St. Luke’s Medical Center, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Colorado River Medical Center, Prime Healthcare, and Corona Regional Medical Center. He also served as the County Administrative Officer for San Bernardino County. He was both a leader and a mentor, touching countless lives with his patience and care.
Mark loved to golf, play the drums, travel the world, and work on projects around the home. He was a dedicated San Bernardino County Sheriffs Ranger and poker player.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; three children, Amanda, Daniel, and Sara; five grandchildren; brother, Robin; sister-in-law, Karen; his niece, Kimberly; and his very best friends, Tedd and Ranger.
A grave-side service will be held on September 19th at 10:30AM at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary, with a reception to follow at the East Highlands Ranch Springlake Clubhouse from 2:00PM- 5:00PM (892 Cloverhill Dr, Highland, CA 92346).
