Margaret Injo, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on April 14, 2024 , at the age of 91, in Ontario, CA. Born on February 17, 1933, in Malang, Indonesia, Margaret was the cherished eldest sibling among four to her parents, Magdalena Wijaya and Yunus Gunawan.
In 1954, Margaret entered into holy matrimony with her beloved husband William Injo and together they raised two loving children, Roni and Laureen. Margaret's journey in life took her through various paths, including a career at an SDA Hospital in Bandung where she dedicated several years of service. Following her husband's pursuits, Margaret moved to Jakarta, where she continued to showcase her skills as a caterer and tailor for the community.
In 1981, Margaret and William embarked on a new adventure, relocating to the United States to be closer to their children. Margaret found fulfillment in her work as a cook at a retirement facility in Thousand Oaks, dedicating over a decade to serving others with her culinary talents.
Retirement brought Margaret to Upland, where she embraced the joy of spending time with her beloved grandchildren: Amy, Jon, Andrew, Pascal, Nithia, and later with the new additions to the family, Victor, Stacey, and Kari. She found great pleasure in cooking for her family, driving her grandchildren to and from school, and maintaining her health by frequenting the gym.
In her golden years, Margaret fostered meaningful relationships at FIBC, cherishing the Wednesday Prayer Fellowship that became a cornerstone of her spiritual life. Even in times of physical challenge, Margaret remained steadfast in her faith, diligently following the program on livestreams and webcasts.
Margaret's life was graced with the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Gemma, a testament to the blessings she cherished. As she embarks on her final journey, Margaret finds solace in reuniting with her beloved husband, William. The angels rejoice as one of their own returns home, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories.
Margaret's love and spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration for generations to come.
A visitation for Margaret will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Montecito's Cypress Chapel, 24145 Barton Road, Loma Linda, CA 92354, followed by a Graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
