Leonor Saldana Alvarez, age 86, of Colton, Ca. passed away July 6, 2022, peacefully at home. Leonor was born February 8, 1936, in Colton, Ca. Was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank M. Alvarez, her sons Frankie Alvarez and Jonathan Alvarez. She is survived by her daughter Nellie and son-in-law Armando Villalobos. Grandchildren – Frank Ruben Contreras, Adriana Contreras, Joseph Villalobos, and Angel Villalobos. Great grandchildren – Kaleena Patacsil and Aristeo Contreras. Siblings – Robert Saldana, Mago Saldana, Yolanda Remington, Connie Ferreira, Juanita Weir, and Hope Olguin.
In July of 1960 she married her long-time boyfriend Frank M Alvarez. After working as a crossing guard for the Colton PD, she settled in her home as a homemaker to take care of her husband and family. Leonor was well known for her generosity and unconditional love for helping others. She was well known in the community for being “the lady who walked in her overalls”. Also, she was a big support system of NA recovery community and other non-profit organizations. Above all, Leonor was known to be a loving sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to many. Not all her own, but that was one of the best qualities she had to offer anyone who came into her life.
