My dearest father-in-law, 

Words cannot express how much I am going to miss you. You have been such an important part of my life, and I wish I would have gotten the opportunity to spend many more years with you. Thank you for welcoming me into your family, and for treating me like one of your children. Thank you for being a wonderful grandfather, and for filling my children's hearts with love. Isabella and Aiden will always know how much they were loved by their Papi Juan. Finally, thank you for being an extraordinary father to my husband. It is because of you that I have such a wonderful husband, and my children have such a wonderful father. You were an admirable man. We find peace in knowing that you are with the Lord, and are no longer suffering. "I love you too much."

God has called you home Juan to a place where you are healthy and no longer in pain.  We are all grieving and will continue to miss you, but we know that you are at home with The Lord now.  Thank you for being such a wonderful friend and more importantly a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather.  You will be truly missed.

Father, 

Thank you for always showing us what love is. I cannot thank the lord enough for giving us the time we had with you. You taught us so much and I will never forget the great memories we had together. I am so proud of you and everything you accomplished. It is because of you that I am successful today. I will miss watching our soccer games especially the World Cup. I will pass on everything I learned from you to my children and hope I can do a great job like you did. You are my best friend and I will miss you dearly. Not a day will go by that I will not think about you. My heart is at peace knowing you are no longer suffering and with God now.

We were honored and blessed to know Juan, the father of our daughter-in-law Joanna (and father-in-law to Rick's son Jesse).  We cherish the memories of the times we all spent together.

Thank you for loving us and teaching us how to work hard for what we want in life.  Seeing your hard work and dedication made me the very independent woman that I am today.  You simply taught me that nothing in this world is handed down to me and that I had to work hard to achieve what I wanted in life. 

 I will forever remember the summer of 1994, 1998 when you had me record the World Cup games on VHS while you worked and how we would play them later on to watch the soccer matches together.  I will remember how when I went away to college you would still call me to discuss sports.   I will remember all these memories and plenty others because I know that you are in a better place now.  You are no longer in pain and I know that I will see you again when my time comes.  Until then, keep on glorifying our Lord up in heaven by singing to Him the songs you loved to listen to prior to your passing!  May you rest in peace.
