Dear Priscilla, Wesley and rest of family it is with great sadness and shock that Emma and I pass on our deepest sympathies on the passing away of Joseph V Selvaraj.  He was one of the most gracious, humble and talented persons we had met during our studies at Spicer College.  It was good we could have renewed this friendship when we met in Australia and then in LA.  I was away on work and could not believe when this sad news was passed on to me.  I am thankful that together with all of his loved ones we can look forward to meeting him again when Jesus comes to take us all home.  Our prayers and thoughts will be with all of you during this time of grief.

We know that His coming is so near and we are going to see Selvaraj again.  Because He has promised.

I should say a true Seventh Day Adventist person. Blessed with many good talents. Truly miss him as a good friend.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Joe's passing, especially since we had just seen you the week before, when we were laughing and joking together. I have such fond memories of times we all spent together over the years...Joe always with a ready smile and laugh.  Our deepest condolences to all of you at this sad time. Dear Priscilla,
It was with a great shock and sadness when I received word of Dr. Selvaraj's passing during our trip through Europe. You and he were the last folks I visited with before i left for my trip the following day, and never realized that it would be the last time that I would have the pleasure of visiting with him. He was a wonderful christian, and I always enjoyed visiting with him. While we mourn his loss, we also look forward to that great reunion in the hereafter.

Thank you for the affection and thoughtfulness shown to them .My mother fondly remembers the time she stayed with you in Loma Linda when my sister had to leave to do her board exams .
You both took such good care of her . She was very grateful to uncle for looking after her health needs and advising medications during her stay . 
She is very saddened to hear that uncle is no more .
My parents are keeping you and loved ones in their prayers .

We are very sad to hear the demise of Selvaraj uncle. We recollect the lovely time we had when we visited your home in 2002. There were happy occasions
 again when you visited our home five years ago.
Uncle sang a beautiful song  for us . You both showed so much affection and was ever so gracious . We have only beautiful memories of uncle - a testimony of a life well lived

The very first time I met Dr. Selvaraj is in uncle Isaac's house in 1987 during vespers. I had met Florence earlier in Louis Aunt's house and therefore he got introduced as Florence's brother. I was totally fascinated by his powerful teaching during the vespers. Very soon when we moved to our very first Weir Road Apartment we requested brother Selvaraj to come and bless our first home. He did that wholeheartedly and blessed Sam and I as we began our lives journey first time on our own home as a married couples. 
Since then I would never miss any teaching or preaching from Dr. Selvaraj.  My in-laws were blessed to have him as their doctor for several years. My in-laws looked forward to every visit with him and were truly satisfied by his care and compassion. He would explain little detail in their level of understanding. My in-laws knew Dr, Selvaraj parents and medical appointment included sharing fond memoirs of his parents too. He was always patient, kind, towards everyone. I cannot imagine a history professor from Spicer College and the Best Doctor one would love to encounter as their doctor. My mother-in-law probably had one special angel ordained by God who was more than a doctor to her  Especially after she encountered that crippling stroke.
Dr. Selvaraj Vedamony was an extraordinary human being. A true vessel of Christ. He has also volunteered his time during Advent Opendoor Health Fair's and blessed our community with his Service.
Our community is deeply saddened by this loss. Dr. Selvaraj truly the best-looking Indian man in our community that demonstrated the greatest gift of all LOVE AND COMPASSION 
I extend my heartfelt condolences to Priscy, Florence and all family members for the loss. We carry you all in our hearts in Prayer.
