Jose G. Castro, the youngest of 5 children, became an orphan as a child. On his early teens, he worked at his brother's Bakery shop. During WWII, and underage, he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He was misinformed that he will be drafted for the War and return to Mexico to serve in the National Military Service.
Then, he returns to US and worked in the agricultural fields throughout many U.S. states.
Returns to Mexico and marries Cecilia at 25 years old and has 11 children (Mexico & U.S). He worked as Hacienda Manager, Police Officer, and most of his 40 years as an upholsterer and business owner in U.S.
He enjoyed playing harmonica, singing, traveling, family, cooking, nature, narrating stories, and social life.
