James P. Ayres

James passed away peacefully at home on March 5TH 2022 at 4 pm in the presence of his wife Joan Lee (Rants) & son Gary Richard & daughter in law Bonnie Lou (Ray).

James was married to Joan on Feb. 23 1957. They have one son Gary Richard.

James has 5 Grandchildren, Gary Jr, Jennifer, Robert, Melinda, James (Andy). 14 Great Grandchildren & 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

His parents were Ebenezor Davenport Ayres & Dorothy O'Kelly Ayres both were from Missouri.

James had 5 sisters & 2 brothers. Jim's older sister Patricia Ayres Fehn of Redding Ca (deceased) older brother Thomas Ayres of Washington (deceased) younger brother Michael O'Kelly Ayres of Washington DC (deceased) Younger sister Judy Ayres Curran (deceased) of Apple Valley Ca He is survived by younger sister Dorothy Ayres Brigham of San Bernardino Ca & younger sister Suzanne Ayres Rogers of Whittier Ca & younger sister Deborah Ayres Hamlin of Apple Valley Ca.

As a small boy he went to school in Muscoy California graduated high school San Bernardino Ca joined the United States Navy where he worked as head chef on nuclear submarines He was a successful Restaurant manager & owner of Foxy's restaurants of San Bernardino Ca & Downey CA & J's Restaurant of San Bernardino Ca He was a restaurant broker in Southern California for many years.

When Jim was assigned to the nuclear subs he was invited to make the first three month exploration under the polar ice but because he would be away from Joan for too long he declined. What a love story.💕
