Gene Hollis Stull, 90, of Calimesa passed away on May 14, 2023, in Redlands, California. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband and father, passionate and committed to his family and friends, and dedicated to excellence and principled actions in his business endeavors.
He is survived by his children Sue (Tony) Burnett of Lake Havasu, Arizona; Karen (Bill) Snowden of Redding and Mike (Pam) Stull of Yucaipa; and 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He also survived by his brother Don, and sisters Lulubelle (Belle) and Carolyn. Gene was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Laura Stull, his parents Sue Lorena Stull and Charles Stull, and sister Helen.
Gene was born in Hollis, Oklahoma and overcame a challenging childhood to build a successful life as a respected husband, father, and business leader. He married Laura Adrian Looney in 1953 at St. Bernadine’s Church in San Bernardino, and he and Laura raised their family in Rialto, California and worked together in the family business, Air Comm Systems. From its launch in 1969 until January 2023, Gene worked at Air Comm and was a widely respected and admired figure in the aviation industry. For his contributions to the industry, he received the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award which recognizes the lifetime accomplishments of senior mechanics who have more than 50 years’ experience in the field.

A graveside service for Gene will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, 3510 E Washington St, Colton, CA 92324.
