Edward was born on May 1, 1950, to Alberto Loera and Carmen Rivera-Guzman in Torreon, Mexico. He and his mother immigrated to the United States when he was 3 years old. He spent his younger years in Casa Blanca, California and moved to Colton, CA to raise his family. He worked as a warehouseman for 26 years at Stater Bros. Warehouse.
Edward was a member of the First Assembly of God, where he met his wife Olivia in 2003 and married for 17 years. He and his wife Olivia then became a member of the Grace of Fellowship Church in Norco, CA.
Edward and his wife Oliva moved to Riverside, CA in 2011 where Edward spent his years after retirement. He was a pillar of his community helping anyone and everyone in his community up until the day he passed. Edward was hard-working man who took pride in whatever he did and took the most pride in his family. Edward touched the lives of everyone he met with his great sense of humor and caring personality.
Edward is survived by his wife, Olivia; his daughter, Vivian Rivera-Arredondo; his sons, Donnie Rivera and fiancé Kathy, Phil Rivera and wife, Esther, Albert Rivera; his Stepdaughters, Anna Fuentes-Hunt and husband Jeff, Raquel Fuentes-Espinosa and husband Seneca and Stepson, Louie Fuentes. Edward’s brothers and sisters in Torreon, Mexico. Edward had 14 grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Alberto Loera; his mother Carmen Guzman; and his brother Gilbert Guzman.
