Dudley served in the Navy for six years. After serving in the Navy he returned home to Ruidoso, NM and married the love of his life, Stella, on Oct 14, 1961. They moved to CA in 1962.
Dudley soon went to work as a Laborers Foreman in Construction. He retired from the Laborers Union Local 300 with 30 years in the union. After he retired he decided to build Taco Ruidoso Restaurant on Tippecanoe Ave., in San Bernardino. A few years later, he retired again for the second time in his life, he went home and cooked at home. He loved making Menudo for his son, Timothy,every time Timothy came to visit from RI.
Grilling his favorite “Ribeye” Steaks was the best time for Dudley. He loved taking his daily walks with his wife and watching the Dodger games and Courts on t.v. Dudley was “one of a kind’ man. He loved his family dearly. He loved sharing recipes with Marisa. He loved making carne asada for Ryan. He was a humble and simple man. He would help anyone in need.
Dudley was predeceased by his son, Dudley R. Rue. He is survived by his wife Stella of 61 years, his son Timothy and daughter-in-law Shannon, his granddaughter Marisa, his grandson, Ryan and two great grandsons, Xavier and Jax.
He will be sorely missed by his wife, Stella, his son Timothy, daughter-in-law Shannon, his grand daughter Marisa, grandson Ryan and close family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to St. Adelaide’s Church Dec. 7, 2022 for services: Rosary at 9:20am with mass to follow at 10:00am, Burial at 11:30am at Montecito Memorial Park, reception to follow.
