Conrado Perez Villasenor passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2024 surrounded with the love of his family by his side. He was born in 1936 in a city called Cuautla in Jalisco Mexico where at an early age was sent to a strict all boys Catholic boarding school in a small town called Cocula. Conrado credited this school in giving him character, discipline and honor that propelled him to be the man we all know today.
As a teenager, he moved to Guadalajara where he began working on diesel trucks, and learned to master his craft on generators and starters at an early age. Against his parents wishes, he moved to Los Angeles in 1958 to make a name for himself. Even though there was a language barrier and systemic racism at the time, he dug deep and overcame all obstacles that were thrown at him.
Risking all he had, he opened up a small generator shop in 1962 and the rest is history. This small shop became one of the largest manufacturing factories in Los Angeles. Conrad then had the insight to buy some land in Fontana, where he later built one of the largest homes in Fontana. A few years later, he and his family built over 30 homes (in which his family currently live) and relocated the factory to Fontana, making him one of the most prominent and respected citizens in the Inland Empire.
Conrado was all about family. He was the oldest of 12 siblings, son of Jose and Maria Perez, and always took care of them the best he could. Conrads’ number one wish was that his family always be united and working in harmony. In life and death, his dream has indeed become a reality. His three children Gerardo, Eric, and Yvette all work at the Fontana factory and meet religiously every Wednesday for family dinner at his home with his loving wife of 50 years Juanita. The legend and legacy of Conrado Perez will truly be missed, but never forgotten for generations to come.
