His wife Norma Wathey Banfield, brother Manford Banfield and sister, Mary Arlene preceded him in death. Bob is survived by his two daughters, Penny Banfield of Palm Desert, California and Jenny Abbott of London, England and Ventura, California and his son Robert Daniel Banfield of Pomona, California.
Bob will be missed by his six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
Bob also leaves his life partner Marietta Ousley of Loma Linda, California; sisters Donna of Las Vegas, Nevada and Helen of Calcutta, Ohio and two brothers Danny Lee of Las Vegas, Nevada and David of Ohio.
Bob worked for KABC for over forty years. He enjoyed traveling, music and horse racing. Bob wanted everyone to know that one of his proudest achievements was being a “Pick Six Winner”.
Our father and patriarch will be missed by his many friends and large extended family.
