To the Gonzalez kids: Your dad enjoyed giving odd/different gifts. He enjoyed giving me Brain Teaser gifts for my birthday's. He gave me 1st of many when I was 16. I remember him telling me, " if you can figure it ( the brain teaser ), then you can figure out anything in life ". I was like " WoW", that was deep. The real joy for your dad was seeing me struggle with his gift. He had a great time laughing at my expense ( LOL ). Once, I would figure it out, he would say " Oh it must have been too easy" and I swear he made then harder and harder every year. I will never forget the joy and laughter he would get from the Brain Teaser gifts. :)

Ben, thanks for all the great memories, happy and sad. You were one of a few people that I can truly call my "Best Buddy" and I am sad that you are no longer here physically to hang around with when we could. I am glad that I was able to visit with you and chat when you still could prior to your last visit to the hospital. I regret that I could not be more helpful to you during these last few... years because of the miles between us, however you have always been there in the back of my mind, wondering how you guys are doing and such. Finding out about your illness really hit me Ben and having to see you go through that for many years hurt even more. My dearest friend, may you rest in peace now and forever.

Heard today that one of my friends from childhood has passed away!!! We go back since Lindbergh days!!! He suffered from cancer. Can't tell you how much he will be missed.
