Andrew (Andy) Almos, 64, of Highland, Ca. passed away suddenly on October 8, 2023, at St. Bernardine’s Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, JoAnn; children: Joseph, Rebekah, Bridgit, and Corinne; grandchildren: Sonny, Brielle, and Jamie; siblings: Margaret, Dolores, Veronica, MaryAnn, Cecilia, Paul, Rosemary, Daniel, and John. Andy is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, many nieces and nephews, and in-laws Ron & Grace. He is preceded in death by his parents Concepcion & Margaret Almos, and sister Pamela.
Andy was raised in Ontario, Ca. where he attended Chaffey High School. He enjoyed his hobby of restoring classic cars and cruising. He loved attending the Pomona Antique Swap Meet. Andy had a passion for baseball and softball; for years he was known to many as Coach Andy. He was an avid Dodgers and Redskins (Commanders) fan. He enjoyed attending sporting events such as baseball games and NASCAR. His greatest enjoyment came from being with his grandchildren and spoiling them every chance he got. Andy was a true handy-man; always made himself available to help friends and family. Andy was employed by PAE Applied Technologies until he retired in July 2021.
Andy’s kindness, strength and humility touched not just his family but all who knew him.
