Yvonne Shunk

Yvonne was born in Amber, Oklahoma to Lester Ray Garrison and Verna Christine Fisher. She was later married to Donald Lee Shunk in July of 1956.

Yvonne was a loving housewife and mother to Bryan and Carolyn Shunk, Ladonna Connors and RaeAnna and Mark Dugan. She was also a very caring and loving grandmother to Kristin and Bobby Westman, Kendra and Joe Aulino, Garrett Shunk and Mickeala, Megan and Cordell Dugan.

She raised her family with love, sacrifice, guidance and teaching drawn from her relationship with her Lord. Mom cherished her role as housewife preparing southern cooked meals that none have matched. She was known for her prepared food and hosting large gatherings for special occasions bringing fond memories to those who attended.

She was also an example to many with her love, commitment and concern for Dad, the love of her life. This inspired those around her even in her difficult final days with us. Mom was an example of love and faith that her Children and Grandchildren will always cherish and honor the memory of.

Visitation on March 15 from 4:00-7:00 p.m., located at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave. Colorado Springs, Co. A memorial service will be held on March 16th., 10:30 A.M., at Falcon Baptist Church, 11095 Eggar Dr. Falcon, Co. Interment will be following at Imperial Memorial Gardens in Pueblo Co. at 2:30 p.m.
