Bill was born on September 18, 1952 in Oakland, California to (Elizabeth) Jeanne and Truman Temple. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Montgomery County, Maryland where he grew up and graduated high school. After high school, he was accepted at C.U. Boulder to study architecture. While there, Bill fell in love with Colorado and the mountains and moved to Aspen to work and ski. Bill met Marge Firebaugh through mutual friends at Jose Muldoon’s in downtown Colorado Springs and this restaurant has continued to hold a special place in their hearts since then. Bill and Marge were married at Four Square Church on July 21, 1979 in Colorado Springs. Together they raised two children, Amy and Joshua. Bill had a passion for the outdoors, fly fishing and skiing. It wasn’t summer if there wasn’t a family camping trip and it wasn’t winter without a season pass to Copper Mountain.
Bill was preceded in passing by his mother Jeanne and his Father Truman. He is survived by his brother Steve, his wife Marge, his children Amy, Josh, and Josh’s wife Katie and also his 3 grandchildren Connor, Lily and Beckett.
A funeral service will be held at Swan Law funeral home on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a small reception. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Bill to the Colorado Search and Rescue Association through their website www.coloradosar.org
