Virginia "Ginger" Mae Harlow Green Sausedo

Virginia (Ginger) May Harlow was born March 3rd 1928 in East Alton Ill. to Charles Stewart and Nelly Irene (Roberts-Harlow) Virginia had five siblings. They all preceded her in death. In 1942, her father was diagnosed with T.B. the family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, hopeful to improve his health. This was a difficult feat due to the depression and World War II. These events created a strong family bond for Virginia, which she carried on this tradition. She married John Daniel Green June 15th, 1946. They had two children, Gail and Linda Green. She later married Thomas Sausedo. Tom had four children. Diana, Mike, Ricky, and Maria. Virginia was a strong, hard working and amazing lady. At 15 years of age, she was diagnosed with T.B. She spent several months in a sanitarium. She got a job to support the war effort. Virginia also worked as a waitress, a secretary for Farmers Insurance, Dental Assistant, a clerk at Sears, and a supervisor at Hewlett Packard. She was an amazing mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved her family dearly and made many friends. She was loved by all. Ginger had a warm and giving heart. She cared for many people. Ginger enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, fishing, and many other things. She was involved with PTA, Red Hats, Elks, Toast mistress, fenton, and Depression Glass Groups. Virginia is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A wonderful lady that has left a legacy...

She will be missed ever so much.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A reception will occur Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
