“Gin” was born in Tulsa, OK in 1930 to Claude O’Farrell and Maxine V. (McConaha) O’Farrell.
She married her husband of 60 years, Lonnie A. Dowell in 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2007.
She is survived by their son, Carey L. Dowell, of Colorado Springs.
Gin was a bookkeeper with many companies during the years Lonnie served in the U. S. Army. After his retirement Gin
and Lonnie owned and operated a local restaurant, Carey’s Place, for 15 years. Gin enjoyed bowling, baseball
and trips to Cripple Creek. Gin was an avid dog lover and she especially loved time spent out walking her “girls.”
A memorial service will be held for Gin at 10:00 am on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Mountain View Mortuary Chapel,
