to Robert Eugene Bennett and Roberta Ray (Jennings) Bennett.
She left this earth unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 18,
with her loving husband Dave by her side.
She was married to David Brown on December 1, 2001 in Hawaii, their favorite spot.
Together she and Dave loved to travel here and there and were always on the go.
Vicky’s passions were playing golf and bringing a smile or a laugh to those around her.
She loved the beauty of golf courses and the many friendships she cultivated while playing.
She was always the “go-to” person for a quick witted comeback, text or a funny card sent to
someone she was thinking about.
Vicky worked as paralegal for the Colorado Springs Public
Defender’s Office, as well as the Simons and Iuppa and Tegtmeier Law firms.
Vicky is survived by her husband David Brown; son Brad (Christy); four grandchildren;
sister, Bobbi (Tom Harris); niece Shawna (Nick, William and Jackson Abbey); nephew
Tommy (Becky and Declan Harris), Sandra Murphy, as well as her many
friends who loved and will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents,
“the unforgettable Roberta Bennett”, and father Curly Bennett.
To cherish her memory, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Swan-Law Mortuary, 501 N Cascade Avenue,
Colorado Springs, Colorado. Please join us in the celebration of our Icky’s
