Tricia Ward

Tricia L. Ward, beloved wife, mother and daughter, passed away at her home on March 24, 2021. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 29, 1975 to Jerry and Carla Johnson. They moved to Colorado Springs while Tricia was still an infant and made this their home, while still remaining lifelong KC Chiefs fans.

Tricia was a devoted mother to Ashlee and Brendan and a life long soul mate to her husband, Troy.

Tricia and Troy met in April of 1990. They quickly began dating and have remained together ever since. Their 31-year relationship produced a 23-year marriage and allowed Tricia to achieve her life long goal of being a mom. She dedicated every moment of her life to Ashlee and Brendan and it shows by the great people they have grown to be.

Aside from having a great, some would say devious, sense of humor, Tricia’s other passion was animals. She found an outlet for this passion when she and Ashlee began volunteering at the Pikes Peak Humane Society. She has given over 800 hours of service to the shelter and was dreaming of hitting the 1000-hour mark.

We are all lucky that Tricia passed her sense of humor onto Brendan and her love of animals onto Ashlee.

Tricia is survived by her loving family: Husband, Troy; Daughter, Ashlee; Son, Brendan; Father, Jerry and Mother, Carla.
