He has lived his life along the front range of the Rocky Mountains, but predominantly in the shadow of Pikes Peak.
Tom worked as a ranch hand, prospector, land surveyor, rancher and was and Ordained Catholic Deacon. During that time, Tom received degrees via a Home Study Course in Mapping, Surveying, and Highway Engineering. From there he continued his education at the University of Colorado, where he studied Geology and Political Science. Tom spent the next forty years in the Engineer Consulting Business and as an independent Land Surveyor throughout the Front Range region of Colorado.
Dedicated to the Catholic Church, Tom spent 20 years practicing his faith as an ordained deacon.
Along with his family, Tom moved from time to time between Colorado Springs, Canon City, Penrose, Colorado and Zellwood, Florida.
Tom is survived by his wife or 67 years Lois Mae Stephenson, his three daughters, Sharon Stephenson-Black (Tom), Lynnet Maree Anderson (Brian) and Mary Kathleen Moore. Eight Grandchildren Amanda Varbel (Alan), James Mitchell (Stephanie), Abagail Carlson (Jacob), Stephenson Boes (Marin), Alexander Boes (Cayte), Christian Anderson, Alla Lora Moore(deceased), Kaley Moore and eleven great-grandchildren Gareth and Virginia Varbel, Nevada and Chance Mitchell, Baron and Aaron Boes, Willow and Kai Boes. Avery, Henry and Lucy Carlson. And Many beloved Nieces, Nephews and their families.
Tom is preceded in his passing by two of his beloved children, Robert David and Carol Anne.
Tom would say, “It has been a fulfilling life”.
