Thomas George “Smokey” Boyer died in the early morning of February 17, 2024 at the age of 75 due to heart failure. He was home in Colorado Springs with his "angel" Traci and their devoted Golden Retriever, Ranger, by his side.
Thomas was born in Telluride, Colorado on December 11, 1948 to George and Mary Boyer.
He is survived by his wife, Traci Nelson Boyer of 29 ½ years of marriage, daughters Tawnya Michelle Houghton (Michael Houghton) and Ashley Noelle Boyer (Jamie Grant) and granddaughter Analeyna Korin Houghton. His surviving aunts Margaret Ricks, Elaine Kukulan, Jera Gross and his sister Olivia (Boyer) Hines also hold memories of “Tommy” - “Smokey” along with numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents George Boyer and Mary Kukuljan Boyer; sister, Rochelle Boyer O'Lear, and brothers George & John Boyer. Smokey was a follower of Jesus Christ and his family is at peace knowing he is with Our Lord and all his loved ones who went before him.
Smokey was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and forestry that goes with being born and raised in the "high country". He graduated from CSU in 1976 B.S. in Forestry. He was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
